THURROCK'S Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Buckingham Hill Road - otherwise known as Linford Tip - is now open again after a four day closure.

The site was initially closed on Tuesday because of staff shortages and did not reopen on Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday Thurrock Council announced the site was closed because of flooding.

However, this morning (Saturday, 16 January) the tip gates were opened again and staff on site said they expected to be operating as normal, which means last entry to the site is at 3.45pm today. Full Covid-19 guidance is being followed at the site. You can find out more via the council's website page about the tip.
