Tilbury came together for fun on the Anchor Field and picnic in the park was hailed a big success

TILBURY'S community came together today (Thursday, 13 August) for a picnic in the park, organised by the Tilbury Riverside Project.
The event on Anchor Field included live entertainment, dance demonstrations, face painting, messy play and lots of fun activities.
It was supported by EMR, Port of Tilbury, Start Thurrock, Active Essex, Thurrock CVS, Thurrock Council and Impulse Lesiure.
A Project spokesperson said: "Thanks to everyone that worked hard to make Picnic in the Park happen and to those who came along to support the event.
"Elite Dance you were little stars, giving it your all in the heat of the day."
