A 20-year-old Thurrock man has been jailed for more than seven years after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving on the M25 in 2024.

Bobby Hull was driving a stolen Range Rover in Kent late on Sunday, 14 April, leaving via the Dartford Tunnel and coming into Essex before colliding with a motorcyclist close to the Mardyke Junction (Junction 30).

The bike rider was 19-year-old Andrina Everett from Kent died at the scene.

Paying tribute to Ms Everett, her fiancé William Critchell described the 19-year-old as "a loving daughter, sister, fiancee and a wonderful friend to so many people".

Hull, of Lapwing Close in Tilbury, was arrested and released on bail while police investigators built their case and secured charges with the Crown Prosecution Service in March 2026.

At Basildon Crown Court he pleaded guilty before trial to causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking causing death.

Now, at the same court yesterday (Friday 25 September), he was sentenced to seven years and four months imprisonment and disqualified from holding a licence for eight years and four months.

Detective Inspector Mark Fraser, of our Serious Collision Investigations Unit, said: "This tragic incident was entirely avoidable. It was crucial we made sure Hull appeared before a judge, face the consequences of his actions and ensure he faced justice.

"While I know this outcome will never make up for the loss of Andrina, I hope this offers a small comfort to her friends and family, and we ask for their privacy to be respected at this time."

A second man, from South Ockendon, is due for trial in connection with the incident next month.
