AS 2021 starts to open up before us Thurrock Nub News will wait to continue to report on the stories that matter to you and bring you news from your area, right to your doorstep.

And we will continue to support all that's positive in our community and support local traders and businesses

Throughout 2020 we're proud to have brought you almost 4,000 stories from across the borough. We delighted to say three million pages of local news from Thurrock have been read by our channels, together with hours of local unique video content.

This will continue through the coming year and beyond.

And as we embark into this new and hopefully more upbeat year we will continue to support businesses through our Local Business Directory, .

This is a free service you can sign yourself up to right now. The directory is a one stop shop for residents in Thurrock to find a local business or service in the area.

Once you've input your business, we'll share you around social media, feature you in articles and continue to support you in every way we can! As we did this week with Acorns pre-school in Chadwell St Mary.

And we invite you to contribute news from your community direct to Nub News via our unique NubIt button. This online newspaper is different as we want to hear directly from you.

Using Nub It you can write a story directly on to our website for our tens of thousands of readers. All content is professionally reviewed by our editor (Neil Speight) and then published on to our news feed and our social media channels.

We're an online newspaper like no other. For one, we don't rely on Google ads or pop up surveys, so you can trust there will never be any clickbait or disrupted reading.

Thurrock Nub News and more than 50 other Nub News sites around the country want to bring local back to local news. We will only write about things that are on your doorstep or affect your local community.

You'll only find information and original content about things that are relevant to our area - we promise you that.

Let's see what 2021 brings and continue to celebrate the amazing community we're so lucky to reside in.
