Town centre police teams for Purfleet and Tilbury

ESSEX Police have announced they will be introducing two new town centre teams to operate in Thurrock.

The cost of the officers will be met by Thurrock Council and they will start work tomorrow in Tilbury and Purfleet (Thursday, 30 January).

There will be an official launch of the new teams in Tilbury tomorrow attended by council leader Rob Gledhill and divisional police commander Chief Inspector Richard Melton.
