Traffic snarl-ups stop buses in borough

BUS services in the west of Thurrock have been hit by the significant traffic congestion caused by emergency gas works.

The work - and temporary traffic lights - on London Road near Devonshire Road has brought traffic to a virtual standstill. And the knock-on effect is that roads in the area are also backed up.

The Ensign bus company has announced significant disruption to its services and says some cannot run, while others are diverted.

Routes 73 & 83 are on diversion via Hogg Lane and Arterial Road between Grays and Lakeside in that direction only.
