CHANGES to operational practices at Thurrock's Linford Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Buckingham Hill Road will come into force in the new year.

With effect from Thursday, 7 January vehicles with trailers will only be allowed to use the tip on Thursday between 8am and 11.45am.

Thurrock council has stressed they will not be allowed to enter on any other days or times.

During the Thursday mornings when trailers are allowed to enter - other vehicles will not be permitted to use the tip.

The council has also stressed that users of trailers must have a valid permit to use the site.

A permit is also needed for the use of vehicles without side or rear windows – for example, a Transit van, flatbed vehicles, pickup-style vehicles, sign-written vehicles and large multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) with seats removed.

Full rules and regulations about permits, and how to apply for one if you are a registered Thurrock Council taxpayer can be found via this link.
