IN advance of Volunteer's Week which begins tomorrow (Thursday, 1 June) the chairman of Hardie Park in Stanford-le-Hope has thanked residents who help at the popular community venue.

Matt Adams said: "To our amazing volunteers, hip hip hooray, three cheers are coming your way!

"We are sure our customers, visitors, local businesses and local residents will join us in thanking our fabulous team of volunteers for their time and effort making the Hardie Park project the success it is today.

"Those volunteers also include our board of trustees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make Hardie the best it can be. A range of skills across the board put to good use in the community, a smashing team working together day in day out.

"Thanks to cafe staff, Trustees, Gardeners, IT support, Community Pop-up, Van driver, Activity co-ordinators, Site maintenance, Club leads, Litter picking and Event management; so many roles to mention, so many talents!

"Whatever it is you do for our project and community it's a good time to thank and acknowledge you all!"

Volunteers' Week 1st to 7th June 2023 is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities.
