Two arrested as police operation continues in borough

TWO men have been charged with drugs offences after being arrested during an operation to tackle drugs and knife crime in Thurrock.

Police officers carried out a stop and search of a car in Bridge Road, Grays, in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday 15 September) and found wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin.

Luke Clements, 30, of Godman Road, Grays, was subsequently charged with possession of cocaine, heroin and crack cocaine.

Mustapha Jalloh, 44, of Centurion Way, Purfleet, was charged with possession of cannabis, cocaine, heroin and crack cocaine.

Clements is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court today and Jalloh is due to appear at the same court on 4 January, 2021.

A statement from Essex Police said: "We're carrying work out every day under Operation Sceptre to keep people safe from the harm caused by drugs and knife crime.
