Two arrested on suspicion of murder of missing Thurrock student nurse

THOUGH a body has not been found and she is still officially listed as a missing person, two men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a Thurrock woman.
Yesterday (Monday, 1 August) Thurrock Nub News reported on the intervention of the Metropolitan Police in the search for student nurse Owami Davies, 24, who left her Chafford Hundred home on Monday, 4 July.
An initial investigation and appeal for information had been initiated by Essex Police.
Ms Davies was last seen at 12.03am in Derby Road, West Croydon on Thursday, 7 July which led the the Met Police involvement.
And today it has been announced two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested in the Croydon area on suspicion of murder, Scotland Yard said.
Detectives from the Met Specialist Crime Command are now leading inquiries to locate Ms Davies because they have the resources and expertise required for a complex investigation, the Met said.
The two men remain in custody at a south London police station.
