Two injured in collision that closed Grays Road

TWO people were taken to Basildon Hospital Hospital after being involved in a collision on a busy Grays road this morning (Monday, 2 June) that was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
It happened between Ward and Tennyson Avenues on Southend Road.
A statement from the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called just after 9.41am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the Southend Road in Grays.
"Two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"The motorcyclist, an adult man, and the driver of the car, an adult woman, were transported to Basildon University Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
Essex Police closed the road while the incident was dealt with.

It has not been established if roadworks on Southend Road are related to the incident.
