ONCE again there is significant traffic congestion in the West Thurrock area following a crash on the M25 at the Dartford Crossing on the bridge.

The crash involving two cars and a lorry happened just before 6pm and as emergency services were called, with the carriageways initially all closed, traffic on the clockwise section built up as far back as the junction 29 (the A127) and there were big queues on the A13, particularly on the westbound carriageway back to North Stifford.

By 8am the M25 queues clockwise were eight miles back, to junction 29.

Around Lakeside roads were described as gridlocked.

Roads were reported to have cleared by around 11.30am.
