By Neil Speight 21st Aug 2021

TO add to traffic congestion and diversions ion the area caused by the closure of the A13 between the Orsett Cock roundabout and the Manorway this weekend, Thurrock Council has announced another closure of a rural road tomorrow (Sunday, 22 August).

Residents in the villages of Orsett and Horndon have been particularly affected by the closure and are signposted as no go areas by the council will the A13 closures are in place, but residents have reported they are still being used by motorists as a diversion.

Tomorrow villagers in nearby Bulphan will also face disruption following the closure of Doesgate Lane between 8am and 5pm. This is for surface dressing. Some residents have been critical of Thurrock Council for carrying out the work at a time when so many other diversions are in place in the area.
