Volunteers thanked for efforts as charity group come together in party mode

RE-ENGAGE Thurrock tea party groups came together to celebrate the beginning of 2024 with a memorable tea party at the South Ockendon Social Club.

The event saw Re-engage, which supports local elderly and vulnerable people by arranging social events, celebrated four birthdays and the welcomed four new volunteers.

Groups co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said:"A very big thank you to Kevin Campen and members of the Social Club for offering their lovely hall free of charge.

"Also to Jo and Mike from Denholms for the wonderful Christmas gifts donated by our local community and to Maggie for buying all the tea party food and organising the afternoon.

"A very bigthank you to all our fabulous volunteers for driving our guests and taking such special care of them. Without our wonderful volunteers none of these lovely tea parties could take place."
