Volunteers with a lot of bottles!

By Neil Speight 6th Sep 2022

THE latest harvest of litter from the side of the Thames in Grays netted more than 200 plastic bottles.

The Grays Beachcombers volunteers were out and about once more at the weekend (Sunday, 4 September), meeting by the yacht club on Thames Road and then spreading out along the river frontage collecting for a couple of hours.

During that time they gathered up many bags of rubbish, including more than 200 single use plastic bottles that would otherwise have ended up in the sea.
