A GROUP of community-minded fundraisers have completed a walk from Corringham to Southend pier in support of the cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

The team, from the Morrisons store in Corringham, completed their trek in five and half hours today (Sunday, 1 November) and have already raised more than £600 for the charity.

Now they hope local residents will help add to the tally by donating through their fundraising page here.

When they reached their destination, one of the walk organisers, the store's community champion Samantha Ralph, said: "We made it! Just over 5 & 1/2 hours and £636 raised! If you haven't already donated then please do if you can. Thanks so much for all of your support today."
