A CHARITY walk for 'Thurrock Dementia Action Alliance' will be taking place in the borough later this month.

It's a Memory Walk and will take place on Saturday 25 September to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

The event is aimed to be an informal, local, fun day out whether it's to walk, meet with friends/family over a cuppa or volunteer on the day, will be a great opportunity for the local community to enjoy the outdoors!.

The walks will start and finish in King George's Field (beside Impulse Leisure, Blackshots), Blackshots Lane, Grays, RM16 2JU.

The 8km will start at 10am and the 3km at 11.30am.

It is free to take part, but the Thurrock DAA are asking anyone wanting to join them to donate to the JustGiving page set up for the event to help raise money for Alzheimer's Society. The link is here.

Blackshots Leisure Centre is providing access to their toilets and café as well as available parking outside the Leisure Centre or the Civic Hall.

Strollercise will be there doing a pre-walk.
