RESIDENTS in the following Thurrock Council wards are reminded that it is their week for brown garden and kitchen waste collection.

The council is currenlty operating a fortnightly collection service and bins should be put out tomorrow (Monday, 25 may) in the following wards: Aveley and Uplands, Belhus, Chafford & North Stifford, Grays Thurrock, Grays Riverside, Little Thurrock Blackshots, Ockendon, South Chafford, Stifford Clays, West Thurrock & South Stifford.

A statement from the council says: "We cannot say exactly which day of the week your bin will be collected. Our crews are working hard to collect bins as soon as possible, within the government's coronavirus (COVID-19) rules."
