MOTORISTS have been warned of possible delays on Saturday (23 March) as the third of a number of large loads leaves the Port of Tilbury before making its way to Millbrook Power Station in Bedfordshire.

The last transit, on Saturday, 9 March, led to major problems when the 600 ton load slipped as it became stranded on a bridge, leaving the port.

Due to the size of the load, delays could start from 4.30pm as it makes its way from the Port of Tilbury.

Delays could continue as it heads to the M25, along the A1089, Dock Approach Road.

There are no road closures planned in Thurrock, although parts of the A12 and the M25 will be closed; including the entry slip from the A12 onto the M25 anti-clockwise at Junction 28 from 8pm until 5am.

There will also be a 30-minute delay at Gallows Corner Roundabout in Havering at around 10pm.
