OUR preview of 'What's On in jo Thurrock' picks out a selection of events hosted on our events guide.

The biggest event over the weekend will be the Orsett Show, with gates at the showground opening at 9am on Saturday.

There's a huge list of attractions at the popular event with is expected to draw thousands.

The second Grays 10K and 3K fun run returns to Grays this weekend.

Last year's inaugural event was hailed a great success and on Sunday runners (and walkers) will be leaving Kilverts Field for another staging of the event.

Another event that is now becoming extremely popular is Chadwell St Mary's Chadwell St Mary Pre-loved Trail.

Grays Riverside is also the venue for another community event on Sunday, when the latest Community Litter Pick takes place.

Once again the Grays Beachcombers will be tidying up Grays Beach Foreshore from 10:30 until noon,

Many events are taking place at smaller venues.

On Saturday, the Dickinns Bar in East Tilbury plays host to a fun family evening, starting at 5pm.

The wonderful life and music of Dolly Parton will be recalled at a tribute night at the Kings Arms in Orsett.
