If you like your classic rock music, where better to go than Stanford-le-Hope's Welcome Club where there will be a night of Magic as Queen's music will rock the audience.

Break free for the weekend with Friday's show.

There will also be an evening of musical and theatrical entertainment at Grays' Thameside Theatre, where the Young Producers will be hosting their annual Spring Show.

It promises to be an entertaining event as the cream of the borough's young talent showcase their theatrical imaginings.

Saturday also brings an annual event in East Tilbury.

The Bata Heritage Centre Open Day will rekindle many memories of the groundbreaking industrial development.

There will be events at the Bata site in the village, including guided tours, and also its library.

And history will also be to the fore on Sunday at the Purfleet-on-Thames Heritage and Military Centre which will host the Gurkha Rifles annual ride-out which features a celebration of Nepalese culture.

The centre will be open from 10am to 3pm, with a Gurkgha service between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
