Christmas is definitely coming and there are a host of events featured on our What's On page to get you in the mood for the festive season.

Here's just some of them coming up this weekend:

FIRST Corringham Scouts will host a Christmas shopping event on Friday, 24 November at the Scout Hall on Herd Lane. Entry is free.

Saturday brings two Christmas Lights switch on events.

Grays Christmas Lights Switch On and Market will take place on the town's High Street.

The event includes four elf stations throughout the centre and High Street.

And the lights will be twinkling in Purfleet-on-Thames.

Thames Opera Company will lead the carol singing.

Complimentary festive treats, sausage rolls, mince pies and mulled wine. Other winter warmers are available at a modest charge.

Grays Town Band will be playing magical season chart hits in a concert in the town on Saturday.

The event, which is free to attend, will take place at Socketts Heath Baptist Church. Click link for details.
