Why store staff are tickled pink about Neil

By Nub News Reporter   30th Jun 2025

A SUPERSTORE manager from Thurrock has completed a month long challenge to run 100 miles to support a breast cancer charity.

Neil Roots is the manager of ASDA's Tilbury store and spent time through one of the hottest Junes on record to complete his run for the company-supported Tickled Pink campaign

During the month he also completed sections of his run in Brighton and Bournemouth.

He completed the run on Saturday (28 June) at the Tilbury store where he was greeted with applause and cheers from colleagues.

Store community champion Kim Morgan said: "He has raised more than £1,700 which is absolutely fantastic.

"All of us from the store are all very proud and thankful for Neil doing this for our store."
