TORY Stephen Metcalfe romped to a huge victory in South Basildon and East Thurrock.

He had a massive majority of just short of 20,000 votes.

Stephen Metcalfe, Conservative - 29,973 votes (66.2%)

Jack Ferguson, Labour - 10,051 votes

Kerry Smith, Independent - 3,316 votes

Michael Bukola, Liberal Democrat - 1,957 votes
