Women released after attempted murder arrest: Man is stabbed - Cops call for information after disorder in Tilbury

POLICE investigating a series of anti-social behaviour incidents, that escalated into a stabbing, have given more information on what has happened in Tilbury in the past 48 hours.

The force acted on Wednesday evening to implement a dispersal order in sections of the town after a number of incidents.

The seriousness of the incidents became clear less than 12 hours later when a man was stabbed early yesterday (Thgursday, 30 July) morning.

Police have now confirmed: "Two women have been arrested after a man sustained serious injuries following an assault in Tilbury.

"We were called to reports of a man in his 50s injured in Sullivan Road at around 9.10am on Thursday 30 July. He had sustained stab wounds to his stomach.

"A 26 year-old woman and a 45 year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have since been released on bail until 26 August.

"If you saw anything, have any CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information please call us on 101 quoting incident 317 of 30 July or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
