Young guns help tackle the menace of speeding drivers

POLICE called on youngsters to get behind speed guns in a crackdown of fast drivers in Chadwell St Mary.

Members of Thurrock Police cadets were deployed with the local community policing team with a speed indicator operation yersterday (Saturday, 21 January), after a number of recent complaints were made by resdients.

A statement from the force said: "Our cadets are a valuable part of neighbourhood policing and enjoy helping their local communities keep safe."
