Youth is bailed again as police conduct protracted investigation into raid on borough store
INVESTIGATIONS are continuing following a theft from a Thurrock store by a 16-year-old youth.
The incident was reported on Thurrock Nub News shortly after it happened on Saturday, 15 April and has left a worker at the store traumatised.
She has received counselling and is slowly getting back into a work routine after the terrifying robbery.
The whole incident was captured on the store's CCTV system and a shopper in the store also took footage that gave clear identifying images of the offender.
The youth was apprehended by police shortly after leaving the store and was initially bailed until 6 May.
That bail has now been extended until 14 July.
In contrast to the protracted investigation around the raid and the youth in Grays, two men involved in an unconnected raid on a Co-op in Stanford-le-Hope were arrested and have appeared in court charged with robbery just days after the raid on Saturday, 29 April.
