POLICE have confirmed they are not investigating anything suspicious following an incident in Chadwell St Mary on Friday, which started at around 3pm,

Though the emergency services attended the incident in numbers, with firefighters and the Essex Air Ambulance helicopter present, it has been confirmed it was a medical emergency that was dealt with by the East of England Ambulance Service.

Tyres fly-tipped on Butts lane have been used to make a barrier to try and keep bikers out - but to little effect.

RESIDENTS in Stanford-le-Hope have called on local administrators, landowners and motorbikers and 4x4 drivers to try and come together and finds a solution to a problem that they say may be putting lives at risk and is certainly depreciating the value of a local country park.

Has clearance of trees and debris as part of Stanford rail station played a part?

ANXIOUS eyes continue to be kept on the quickly flowing waters of the River Hope in Stanford-le-Hope today (Friday, 29 January), with residents fearful of another occurrence of the flash flooding that brought turmoil to parts of the town a couple of weeks ago.

Since then water levels in the area have remained high and over the past 24 hours the Hope once more rose to the edge of some people's gardens and they are fearful it will spill over again.
