EAST Thurrock United will be looking to record a first win of the Isthmian Premier season when they entertain Merstham at Rookery Hill on Saturday (10 October).

With just one point to their name so far, earned in a tight match at Brightlingsea last Saturday, the Rocks will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at Haringey Borough on Monday evening.

Merstham have also had a tough start to the season and sit just one place above second-from-bottom East Thurrock with one win from their four matches, three of which have been at home.

In the Isthmian North Tilbury, Aveley and Grays find themselves in fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively - with both Tilbury and Aveley having missed the chance to go top in midweek - Tilbury when they lost at home to Grays.

Tomorrow Tilbury go to early season table-toppers Hullbridge Sports - now down to third spot - Grays play host to Romford and Aveley travel north to face second-placed Histon.

Dependent on results, any one of the three local sides might end up on top of the table on Saturday night.
