Can you help Seb fulfil an international dream?
A THURROCK youngster is hoping local people and businesses will rally to support his efforts to represent GB in his chosen sport.
Sebastian Shirley, 13, from Corringham, is already a national and international ju-jitsu champion.
He has now been selected to represent Great Britian in an international competition in Belgium later this month – but he has to fund the effort himself.
Sebastian says: "On 17 January I will be flying to Belgium to compete internationally, but sadly this is not sponsored and I need help.
"My family have worked out that between flights, accommodation, entry fees, insurance etc we are going to spend a minimum of £1,500 and despite my parents working their socks off, this is having a big impact financially.
"So, I'm hoping local people and businesses could help me fulfil my dreams.
Sebastian's mum, Natalie, has set up a fundraising page and it is already halfway towards its target.
It can be found via this link.
If any business wants to help directly with sponsorship, contact Natalie via her Facebook page.
Any extra money raised will be used towards Sebastian's training and towards future competition expenses. He is due to compete in Wales in April.
