Grays Athletic 0, Romford 0

IT was a disappointing day all round for Grays Athletic yesterday (Saturday, 1 February) with the Blues taking just a point from bottom club Romford.

The match kick-off was overshadowed by the theft of merchandise and equipment from the Grays storage unit at Parkside.

A club statement said: "If anybody gets offered any Grays Athletic Merchandise Hats/Scarfs/Replica shirts/Polos/Jumper or Mitre isthmian league Balls with GAFC 1890 written on please let us know as these have been stolen from our lock up at Parkside by some mindless idiots."

The game itself was poor throughout with neither side showing the creativity required to break the deadlock.

After the game Blues manager Jim Cooper said: "I'm not happy with today's draw. We are making it difficult for ourselves by not creating or scoring enough goals but with our fantastic crowd constantly behind us, our luck will change."
