Brentwood Town 4, Tilbury 3

DESPITE two late goals, Tilbury's fine recent run of results came to an end in Monday evening's defeat (17 February) at the hands of Brentwood in the BetVictor Isthmian North. The match had been shifted to Aveley's Parkside ground following pitch problems in Brentwood.

The hosts opened their account after 14 minutes through Marcus Milber but the Dockers were level just two minutes later through Ola Ogunwamide and that's how the scores stood at half time.

Brentwood took a grip on the match with three second half goals from Marcus Elliott (51), Adam Topley (70) and Andrew Freeman (75).

Tilbury showed their resilience with a goal from 19-year-old debutant Sam Keefe, who came off the bench on 24 minutes after signing on loan from Charlton. He scored with seven minutes remaining and a third from David Knight made for a dramatic last few seconds but the revival was too little, too late for Tilbury.
