THERE were good performances from two West Thurrock Boxing fighters in action at York Hall this evening (Saturday, 15 February).

Thomas Barrett (South Ockendon) boxed well and stayed out of trouble against unbeaten prospect Ryan Robinson, going the distance in his first six-rounder but not picking up the win.

Frank Arnold (Hackney) didn't let a first round off-balance knockdown faze him, and dominated his fight against the vastly more experienced Johnson Tellez, taking the win on points, also over six rounds.

Both fighters are trained by Gareth Lawrence.
