Tilbury 0, Grays Athletic 1

LIKE Aveley the night before Tilbury missed out on the chance to secure their place at the top of the Isthmian North and lost their unbeaten league record in a derby encounter this evening (Tuesday, 6 October).

But it was all smiles for Grays Athletic in front of a lively crowd of 367 at Chadfields in a closely contested encounter that saw seven bookings - four for the hosts.

The game's decisive moment came on 21 minutes when Joseph Agunbiade, who had come on as a ninth minute sub for Joao Carlos, grabbed the winning goal.

The result leaves Tilbury, Aveley and Grays holding fourth, fifth and six places respectively after three fixtures with none of the sides starting the week in the top five picking up a win!
