AFTER the weather claimed last night's scheduled Bet Victor Isthmian North League clash at Chadfields where Tilbury's game against Maldon was called off because of a waterlogged pitch there was a second cancellation this morning after a pitch inspection at Rookery Hill confirmed East Thurrock United's Isthmian premier derby with Hornchurch is off.

There is optimism though that high-flying Aveley's clash at Canvey Island in Isthmian One North will go ahead, no inspection is currently planned.

Grays Athletic were without a scheduled match anyway.

Meanwhile East Thurrock were given a reprieve with news that they have been reinstated in the Isthmian's Velocity Trophy as Bishops Stortford, who beat them 4-3 recently, played an ineligible player.

Rocks will now be at home to either Barking or Cheshunt.
