Old rivals await Thurrock after switch of divisions

AS Thurrock Rugby Club has been working hard to negate the impacts of the coronavirus virus on its fiances (see story) the club has been heartened by news this evening that it has been moved back to the northern section of London Division One next season.

The club were drafted into the southern half of the competition three seasons ago - a move which included some fairly lengthy travelling to away matches.

Now they will be renewing old acquaintances with clubs including Chingford, Colchester, Eton Manor and continuing their old south Essex rivalries with derby rivals Brentwood and Southend.
