RESIDENTS have come together in Stifford Clays to support the community, and local Sea Scouts by restoring and upgrading a remembrance Garden in Blackthorne Park.

It will be used for the first time at a service or Reemembrance on Sunday (10 November), featuring local Sea Scouts.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We have self-funded the entire project, to redesign and rebuilt a small area in Blackthorne Park.

"We want the community to join us on Remembrance Sunday, to not only support the Sea Scouts, but also to start feeling proud of what some members of the community are doing directly to make the area a better place".

The event will take place at 10.45am at Blackthorne Park.
