Nub News reader S. Boyce expresses an opinion about the introduction of parking permits charge at various places in the borough. Nub News told the story of how the council has introduced them, and justifies the move by saying it's part of efficincy improvement.

____________

FIRST off, this is discrimination.

In my opinion a large minority of Thurrock residents are being taxed unlawfully simply due to where we live whilst others who live in the same area are not.

Second. You can't even get traffic wardens out to police the blasted scheme anyway.

I cannot tell you how many times my permit area is occupied by non-permit holders. All day and every day in some cases.

So don't give us the nonsence that the charge is to accomodate admin, management, enforcement (ha ha) etc.

I've yet to see an enforcement officer unclog a road. And if you possess a drive, you won't need a permit.

Also,  the link sent out by email from the council does not give a date for the public 'engagement'

The Town Hall needs sacking.
