Dockers pay tribute to fan after he lost battle with cancer

TILBURY FC have issued a statement paying tribute to a supporter and mourning his death.

The turn of the year has seen a number of deaths of prominent borough people, among them Tilbury FC supporter Richard Robertson.

Mr Robertson died on Tuesday, 3 January following a long battle with leukemia.

A statement from the Isthmian North club said: "Richard has been attending Chadfields since the 1960s when he came to support with his father, Dave.

"Watching the Dockers was something Richard enjoyed throughoub his life.

"He was a true 'Docker' who will be sadly missed and the thoughts and condolences from all at Tilbury FC go out to Richard's family and friends."
