Tribute to much-loved teacher
TRIBUTE has been paid to a much-loved village schoolteacher who taught generations of village children over decades since starting at East Tilbury Primary School in 1993
The school has announced the death of long-serving Sarah Dowling.
A statement says: "Throughout her years in education, Sarah touched the lives of countless children, families, and colleagues with her kindness, warmth, and gentle nature. She was a talented and creative individual whose artistic skills inspired many pupils and brought joy to those around her.
"Whether through displays, projects, or simply encouraging children to express themselves, she helped foster a love of creativity that will be remembered for years to come.
"Sarah also had a deep love of the outdoors and found great happiness in nature. This passion was reflected in her approach to learning and life, encouraging children to explore, discover, and appreciate the world around them.
"Her impact on our school community extends far beyond the classroom.
"She will be remembered fondly by many former colleagues and generations of past pupils whose lives she helped shape. The memories she created and the difference she made will remain with us always.
"At this difficult time, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her daughter, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. We hope they find comfort in knowing how greatly she was respected, valued, and loved by so many. She will be deeply missed and affectionately remembered."
