Taunton Town 2, Aveley 2
AVELEY only managed a point against Taunton Town this Saturday (27 January) but moved to seven games unbeaten in the Vanarama National League South.
Millers had the advantage twice at Wordsworth Drive, but Taunton fought back.
It was nil-nil at halftime following a stop-start half.
Aveley took the lead in the 71st minute through Manny Ogunrinde. He slid in and finished into an open goal following a header by Jason Ring.
The hosts bounced back just two minutes later. Lloyd James whipped in a fantastic ball from a corner that Rabby Tabu headed home at the back post.
Millers fought back and won a penalty after Zac Bell manhandled Coleman De-Graft in the box. Siju Odelusi converted the penalty in the 87th minute.
Groundhog Day for the Millers as Taunton equalised again two minutes later. Ollie Chamberlain's header came off Harry Gibbs and went in off the Millers captain.
Aveley couldn't manage another go-ahead goal and the game ended two-two.
Next up, Millers face league opposition Worthing at Parkside on Saturday (3 February). Worthing have taken 10 points from their last four games and sit second in the table.
