AVELEY bounded back from the disappoint of their defeat by Cheshunt to claim three very valuable points against fellow Isthmian Premier promotion challengers Chatham on Saturday (4 April).

Just one goal from George Saunders on 68 minutes decided the issue and Aveley are now just a win away from securing a play-off place while hopes are high of a finish in second place which will secure home matches in the play-offs. 

Folkestone secured the title and promotion with a win at St Albans City.
