Stanway Pegasus Reserves 0, East Thurrock Community FC 1

EAST Thurrock are now five unbeaten on the road, with four clean sheets in that period.

The Rocks started this Essex and Suffok Border league Premier Division clash positively, with a flurry of chances for Ross Barnes, who came close on 3 occasions to giving the visitors the lead.

In reply, Stanway created a few chances of their own but were denied by Tommy Bruley in the East Thurrock goal.

The Rocks took the lead on 41 minutes, as Bailey Morris hooked a cross to the back post and was cut back by Harry Prince to Owen Dixie who converted from six yards.

It wasn't an eventful second half, the only real chance was midway through the half. Kieran Case won a header to set Harry Prince through, but his effort went over the bar from close range.

Despite this, East Thurrock saw the job through, to claim a hard-fought win on the road and host Belle Vue next weekend as they try to continue climbing the table.

Rocks: 1 Tommy Bruley, 2 Lewis Gardener, 4 Ray Snares, 5 Faith Segemani, 7 Bobby Reeman, 10 Kieron Miles, 11 Bailey Morris, 16 Ross Barnes, 19 Owen Dixie, 20 Harry Prince, 21 Harry Salter.

Subs: 6 Kieran Case, 8 Joey Purdy, 9 Iziengbe Ikponmwosa-Ikuero, 14 Reiss Hatwell, 15 Harry Cowlbeck.
