IT rarely happens, but today (1 October) all four of Thurrock's non-League sides will be spending Saturday afternoon playing in the borough.

The pick of the fixtures has to be 'El Chadico' when Grays Athletic travel to Chadfields to meet Tilbury in an Isthmian North fixture with more than a century of history between the sides.

Tilbury boss John Coventry will be desperately in need of a win as he continues to reshape the Dockers. After a bright start to the season that began with two wins, Tilbury have won just once in their last seven matches in all competitions.

However that win was in a derby, Coventry's return to Rookery Hill bringing a 2-1 victory against his former club East Thurrock United.

Grays, on the other hand, go into the game in a vein of form which includes five wins from their last six outings, and a midweek win against Wroxham took them to third in the table.

Also in the division, East Thurrock are at home. Four points from their last two league matches is an indicator that the Rocks' early season league misery is ending and they will have hopes of overhauling visitors Hullbridge Sports who lie two points and a place ahead of them in 14th spot.

Aveley, who have slightly falters since topping the Isthmian premier a couple of weeks ago, will entertain Margate at Parkside and will hope to get back to winning ways.
