IT'S FA Cup day for two borough sides today (Saturday, 19 August).

Grays Athletic will entertain fellow Isthmian North side New Salamis at Tilbury's EMR stadium, while East Thurrock United will play host to Barton Rovers at Rookery Hill. Rovers play in the Southern League Central Division One 

The first preliminary round ties are worth £,1444 to the winners, with the losers getting the consolation of £481.

Aveley continue their journey in the National League South with a trip to Worthing, who are coming off the back of a fantastic 3-0 away victory at Torquay United, followed up by midweek success by beating Slough Town 4-1 away.

The Millers, are coming off the back of back to back wins after a 4-1 victory of their own against Taunton Town and then a 2-0 victory over full time Eastbourne Borough on Monday night, which included a stunning strike from Jon Benton and a first goal for the club for Matt Rush to seal the victory.

Tilbury are without a game today.
