THERE are good opportunities for Grays Athletic and Tilbury to climb the lower reaches of the Isthmian North today (Saturday, 29 November).

Tilbury, who go into their match in 17th are at home to Mildenhall, a side that sit just two places and three points above them.

Sandwiched between those two is 16th placed Grays and they go to Takeley who are third from bottom. The match is on after an early morning pitch inspection.

Tilbury were the last visitors to Takeley's Station Road ground on Tuesday and emerged 3-2 winners, building on the weekend's draw at Witham.

Grays were also in midweek action, losing by a single goal at home to Waltham Abbey on Wednesday, but they put in a much improved and dogged performance.

In the Essex and Suffolk Border league Premier Division, East Thurrock Community FC, who lead the table by four points despite last week's defeat at Hatfield Peveral, play host to Dedham Old Boys (2pm KO).
