GRAYS lost three-one to playoff hopefuls Brentwood Town on Friday (5 April) evening in the Isthmian North Division.

Brentwood had a two-goal advantage by half time at the Brentwood Centre Arena and although Grays managed to get one back, the home side pushed on and picked up all three points.

Romel Aarons Royal opened the scoring in the 20th minute and Wyan Reid doubled Brentwood's advantage from the penalty spot (45+4) just before half time.

In the second half Matas Skarna scored for Grays after 58 minutes but just four minutes later Mekhi McKenzie restored Brentwood's two goal lead.

Blues will be hoping to put their losing start to April behind them against Redbridge on Thursday (11 April) at Oakside Stadium. Redbridge have only lost one of their last five matches and sit one place above Grays in 15th.
