LOCAL clubs will be in action today (Saturday, 28 March) which is celebrated as Non-League Day.

Aveley host Cray Wanderers at Parkside in The Isthmian Premier division and the match is dedicated to supporting aid and awareness of Prostate Cancer UK.

Season ticket holders of clubs from Premier League down to National North/South can get entry for £5.

Millers go into the match in second place. While hopes of catching runaway leaders Folkestone, who are 13 points clear are slim with just six matches to go Millers are seeking to consolidate their position and guarantee home matches in the play-offs. Cray will be no easy opposition however, as they are seventh and are still challenging to get in the top five.

One player no longer involved in Millers' end of season run in is striker Suley Zuhdu who has departed Parkside.

Zuhdu started the season on fire and bagged 13 goals in 26 games including all four in the away match at Cray Valley PM before injury halted his just before the Christmas period.

Grays Athletic have a crucial fixture in the Isthmian North, travelling to Mildenhall. Entry is free to anyone going through the turnstiles before 1.30pm and half price before 2pm.

The Blues sit 17th, one place above their hosts with a two point advantage, but both are looking over their shoulders with the drop zone just a couple of points away.

Grays travel with a warning from the FA after poor behaviour by their fans towards match officials at their game at Downham last week.

A club statement says: "We want to take a moment to address the reports of poor behaviour towards match officials during our recent away match against Downham Town. Grays Athletic has always prided itself on being a club built on passion, respect, and community spirit — values that extend beyond the pitch and into the stands.

"We know the vast majority of our supporters uphold these standards every single week. However, it's important that everyone who represents this club, whether wearing the shirt or cheering from the terraces, does so in a way that reflects positively on Grays Athletic.

"Together, let's move forward positively and continue to represent Grays Athletic with the class and passion it deserves."

When the sides met at Chadfields earlier in the season in January, Mildenhall took the lead on 64 minutes through Ryan Swift, but this sparked Grays into life as first Oscar Shelvey equalised on 72 minutes, before Alex Moss put them in front eight minutes later. In injury time, Aron Gordon broke from the half way line before finishing with confidence to secure a vital three points.

Tilbury, who sit comfortably in mid-table in the Isthmian North, play host to Newmarket, who are a place below them in 12th.

East Thurrock Community FC are in Essex & Suffolk Border League Knock-out Cup fourth round action, travelling to Springfield.
