GRAYS Athletic have borrowed their former prodigy Emmanuel Ogunrinde from Aveley.

'Manny', 26, came through the Grays Athletic Academy and spent some time with Salford City before returning to the Blues.

He joined Aveley during the early stages of the Covid-hit 20-21 campaign, making seven appearances and scoring once, and went on to be an enormous part of the side that won the Isthmian North title in 21-22, scoring nine times and making 39 appearances.

During the 22-23 season, as the Millers made it two promotions in two years after winning the Premier Play Off Final, he played 28 times, scoring twice.

He spent some time on loan at Brightlingsea Regent during 23-24, playing seven times and scoring twice, before heading back to the Millers and playing a big part in their last two National League South campaigns.

He moved to Brentwood Town in the summer and made nine appearances before heading to Aveley once more, playing twice so far.

Now he will continue his career in a Grays shirt for the moment, having agreed a month's loan.
