IN their penultimate pre-season friendly in Tuesday (30 July), Aveley found themselves beaten by their tenants for the coming season, Isthmian Premier Hashtag United

Millers made a great start to the match with a first minute goal as a ball over the top picked out Charlee Hughes who took a chested touch and half volleyed the ball past Jack Giddens into the back of the net. 

Hashtag responded well and on ten minutes Sam Higgins set up Toby Aro who tested the keeper with an on-target shot.

The equaliser came on the half hour thanks to a deflected shot by a trialist from Hashtag.

The winner came on 53 minutes when Harry Aysom combined with his defensive partner Tom Anderson at the attacking end of the pitch and Anserson slotted home from six yards.

Aveley complete their pre-season with a trip to Cheshunt on Saturday.
